6 comments to 6 ways to stop procrastinating

  • This is exactly what I needed to read today. When I’m in the “zone”, I always do an amazing job in what I’m doing — the problem is that concentrating enough to reach the zone is always a problem for me.

What I normally do to stop procrastinating is:
    1. Make myself a cup of tea
    2. Go to my room where there are no distractions
    3. Make a list of what to do
    4. Set myself a time limit

I find that if I’m in the living room, where the TV is always on, I can’t get much work done at all. Same thing if I’m listening to my MP3 player.

I’m the exact same way, the hardest thing for me is getting away from the living room. I know I can’t focus there but I always try to work there before finally going to my room.

  • Thanks for the post. It was very helpful for someone like myself who can get distracted easily while working at times, especially since I work at home.
